I sent Mrs K a mood board at 10pm on a Thursday and by Friday morning she had already sketched three concepts. The final cake — a five-tier ivory and blush with hand-painted gold botanicals — was so stunning our guests thought it came from a hotel patisserie. Not a single crumb left.
My daughter is obsessed with fashion, so I asked for something that looked like a Chanel box. Mrs K built it from scratch — the quilting on the fondant, the interlocked C, even a tiny pearl ribbon. My daughter cried. We've already booked her for the 30th.
